In order to pay for thie web hosting space that allows this site to be on the internet, we have to have some income.  Google AdSense provides income for us to do this.  They have an automated program which crawls your website and decides, based on the keywords, title and content, what ads to post there.  This program is not intelligent;  it does not actually read the website to see what the intent of the website is.  Consequently, it will read the childbirth pages, for example, and post ads that have to do with childbirth, i.e. midwives, gynecological care, etc. even though our site specifically takes a position that we do not support such care.  That does not mean we agree with or support such ads.  However, having the ads there provides income for us, even if you only load the page the ads are on but don't click on them.  Some of the ads are helpful and some are not.   So, please benefit from the ads that make sense to you and ignore the rest. 

Also, we would like to be able to devote our complete attention to this website and it's content, so we can improve the information we provide you, but we have to make a living like everyone else.  We would like the website to be self-supporting so that we can do that.  The ads help make this possible.
