Conscious Creation
"The fact is that each of you create your own physical reality; and en masse you create both the glories and the terrors that exist within your earthly experience. Until you realize that you are the creators,you will refuse to accept this responsibility. Nor can you blame a devil for the world's misfortunes" (1).
How do we create our own reality? "You usually do not realize that your physical body is created by you at each moment as a direct result of your inner conception of what you are, or that it changes in important chemical and electromagnetic ways with the ever-moving pace of your own thought" (2). In the same way, the Bible teaches "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7).
Most people do not realize the tremendous power they have over their own lives and circumstances. Everything in our physical universe is made up of energy. All physical objects are made from atoms and molecules, and orbiting around those atoms are electrons - electrically charged particles. All changes that take place in the environment involve the shifting of these electrons from one atom or molecule to another. When these electrons shift, energy is exchanged and chemical reactions take place. Your thoughts also contain energy, and therefore can cause changes in both the physical and non-physical environment.
In the Bible, Jesus said "I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, `Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you" (Matthew 17:20). Most people read that and say, "Well, he didn't REALLY mean you could move a mountain, he was just speaking figuratively." Well, a figure of speech usually describes something that actually exists. However, I don't believe he was speaking figuratively. In his life, Jesus was able to perform many miraculous feats. Experience has shown me that if you want to move a mountain, and you give intellectual and emotional energy to visualizing that mountain going away, it will. It may not happen today or tomorrow, and it may not vanish into thin air. But sometime later, an earthquake will destroy it, or a bulldozer will come and knock it down. Either way, you have consciouly created this reality. It's not magic....it is physics. You have the power in your mind to do it.
According
to Seth, a wise spiritual teacher, "The intensity of a feeling or
thought
or mental image is, therefore, the important element in determining its
subsequent physical materialization" (3). Giving great mental and
emotional energy to the materialization of a thought or desire requires
mental discipline and practice. However, it is possible, and I
personally
am able to use this technique in a variety of manners to increase my
quality
of life on a daily basis, and to help others. I have used this
technique
of conscious creation to bring myself financial assistance, help a sick
person with pain control, and to heal my own body. It is very
powerful
and effective. This is why Jesus said nothing was impossible for
us.
When this universe was set up, an energy matrix was put in place which permeates and connects all things. In 1964, J.S. Bell was able to prove mathematically that sub-atomic particles are connected in some way that transcends time and space, and that anything that happens to one particle affects all other particles. In other words, we are all instantaneously connected to everything else that exists. Then Jack Sarfatti used these kind of principles to explain that there is a multi-dimensional reality in which we are all constantly interconnected. At the quantum level two particles have an effect on each other no matter how far apart they are separated by spacetime. Numerous experiments have been carried out in top universities all over the world, showing that we can, through our intent, change the behavior of particles anywhere in the world at anytime. Just as Jesus tried to explain, in our minds we initiate a thought, and with consistent and significant application of energy to that thought or belief, our thought, which is energy on the quantum level, initiates change. Every other particle in the universe is effected by a change in our thoughts or beliefs.
There are a variety of ways that people are able to mobilize the electromagnetic power of their minds. Prayer, meditation, visualization, and incantation are all methods which help focus the mental and emotional energy we have so that we are able to change the fabric of time and space to accomodate our needs. Most people believe that when they pray, God makes a choice to answer their prayer with a yes or a no, either giving or denying them what they want. This is not the case. God has set up the universe so that we have control over it. The universe is not just some great expanse of space bodies whistling along at tremendous speed. The universe is a system of energy. Everything that exists, whether seen or unseen, belongs to this system of energy. Every item that exists is connected by an unseen network of energy which is not affected by physically measured distance.
In other words, you are connected to everything that exists by an electrical network, and everything that exists is connected to you as well. Your thoughts and feelings are electrical in nature, and when you direct that electrical impulse toward a particular object with the intention of effecting the functioning of that object, that change occurs. The magnitude of the change is contingent upon the amount of energy you are able to focus on obtaining your goal.
That's
why Jesus said that we simply must believe in what we are asking for,
and
we will have it. Not because our belief convinces God to give us
what we ask for, but because our strong belief effects the universe on
a quantum level. We are able to change the fabric of space and
time.
