Most people recognize the words "In the beginning..." as the opening words of the Bible, the book of Genesis, and the history of the human race.  They view the garden of Eden story as the beginning of human existence, with all other historical events proceeding in a linear fashion and branching out from the events of the Bible.  Few people realize that Biblical writings do not describe the beginning of human existence on this planet, but only the events that have occurred since the last ice age, and that the Bible represents a distorted, limited but fanciful description of some historical events, retold by superstitious, fearful people who misunderstood their own power and attributed their abilities incorrectly to a supreme being and heavenly host.

The creation story of Adam and Eve is simply a colorful reconstitution of older myths that existed in Egypt and Mesopotamia at least as long ago as 3,000 B.C.  The first five books of the Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy - the Torah, did not come into written form until at least 500-600 B.C. during the Jewish captivity.  Before that, stories were handed down orally from generation to generation, and who knows when or where they really began.  They are just that...stories.  They cannot rightfully be called history because they take a small fact or event and spin wild tales around that event until one cannot recognize anymore what really happened.  You can only discover what each tale really describes by taking the central fact of the fable and pairing it together with other historical, archaeological, anthropological, astronomical and intuitive  information that is available today. 

Indiginous peoples often took a notable actual event and embellished it in a tale designed to teach a moral theme.  For instance, after the last ice age, which began 70,000 years ago and ended 10,000 years ago, areas of the earth, particularly what we now call the "fertile crescent" were lush, beautiful green areas where food grew plentifully and human beings thrived without much need for hard work.  Temperatures were warm, living conditions easy, and humans, previously used to difficult, frigid conditions, were able to simply pick their food off the trees, live harmoniously with the animals, and had little need for wearing clothing.  When another global climatic shift took place which caused tremendously destructive floods, plantlife was destroyed, food sources were wiped out, and a large percentage of the population was killed.  Life was radically and irrevocably altered forever for humans.  They were left scratching their heads and wondering where this destructive force came from and why it had chosen to totally dessimate their way of life.  Since the ways of nature and particularly the weather are often savage and violent, it was very easy for primitive humans to decide that these forces were controlled by some all-powerful entity who was obivously displeased with their behavior and was punishing them.  Having no factual information to dispute this idea, mythical stories were told to explain why these things occurred.  So the story is concocted which says that humans were created perfect and placed in a perfect garden and cared for by a god and then because they disobeyed him they were cast out and the beautiful garden disappeared and man had to finally work and sweat for a living and because he became increasingly evil he was finally wiped off the face of the earth by a flood except for one faithful family.  Humans took some legitimate facts and spun a tale around those facts that was told and embellished for centuries.  Never mind that no god ever spoke to them.  They used these tales to build a culture and a civilization, based upon certain premises which are in error.

At the time these events were supposedly happening, and the Biblical humans were supposedly the only humans on the planet, it is now known through extensive archaeological and anthropological research, that other cultures did exist separate and apart from the Biblical humans.  The discovery by the Biblical humans that they were not alone on the planet is documented in Genesis Chapter 6 and the Book of Enoch.  See the book "From the Ashes of Angels" by Andrew Collins for his extensive research on the humans from a more advanced culture that visited the Middle East, introduced them to more advanced ideas and technologies, intermarried with their women, and were considered supernatural beings, angels, giants, or nephalim.  Mr. Collins goes on to talk about his research which involved traveling all over the world and learning about this alien culture which, due to the advanced nature of their knowledge and abilities, were seen not as more advanced humans, but as supernatural beings.  Come to think of it, humans probably knew long before Genesis 6 that they were not alone on the planet, hence we are able to solve the dilemma of where did Cain get his wife.  He didn't marry his sister, as I have heard most Christian teachers claim.  He married someone from one of these other cultures. 

Now, I don't know whether they were just spinning myths, or whether humans really thought they were hearing a god speak to them.  If they were thinking they heard a god speak to them, and if they did really think that miraculous, supernatural things were happening, it was a misunderstanding that has tragically altered the course of human history.  When Jesus came, he tried to teach people about their own power and ability to do these seemingly miraculous things, but they failed to understand his teachings.  There is no god that is performing miracles or speaking to people.  People fail to understand that the power and energy of our own thoughts and beliefs creates whatever happens.  According to Jesus, "whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and you shall have it." Your belief creates the result.

When this universe was set up, an energy matrix was put in place which permeates and connects all things.  In 1964, J.S. Bell was able to prove mathematically that sub-atomic particles are connected in some way that transcends time and space, and that anything that happens to one particle affects all other particles.  In other words, we are all instantaneously connected to everything else that exists.  Then Jack Sarfatti used these kind of principles to explain that there is a multi-dimensional reality in which we are all constantly interconnected.  At the quantum level two particles have an effect on each other no matter how far apart they are separated by spacetime.  Numerous experiments have been carried out in top universities all over the world, showing that we can, through our intent, change the behavior of particles anywhere in the world at anytime.  Just as Jesus tried to explain, in our minds we initiate a thought, and with consistent and significant application of energy to that thought or belief,  our thought, which is energy on the quantum level, initiates change.  Every other particle in the universe is effected by a change in our thoughts or beliefs. 

These discoveries make it possible to explain many phenomena previously unexplainable.  The things which Jesus did, such as walking on water and healing disease, are all known now to be possible through quantum physics.  Also, many abilities often referred to as psychic abilities, such as being able to access information about past or future events, all are possible through understanding this multi-dimensional reality.

Most people have at one time or another experienced a little voice talking in our heads telling us to do something.  We just dismiss it as part of ourselves which is reminding us of something or that it has to do with the dual nature of human beings, how we can step aside and observe ourselves and this is just one part of ourselves speaking to the other part.  In a way, that's true.  But how about when the voice tells you something you didn't know before, like the fact that you shouldn't go on a certain trip and then you find out that everybody that went on that trip was in an accident.  Lots of people experience this, the receiving of information that they couldn't have known in this reality.  Because we are part of a multi-dimensional reality, we have access at every moment to all information that exists.  Part of this energy matrix I spoke of earlier has been called the non-local intelligence because it contains all information which you can access at any time. Our brains are constantly involved in an interplay of exchanging information with this energy matrix.  Everything we learn or know is instantly uploaded to the matrix and is available to anyone else at any time who knows how to access it.  The thoughts you think, the dreams you have, the information stored in your brain, is not actually stored there.  That's why it's called the non-local intelligence.  Our brains do not store memories or thoughts, all our memories and thoughts are stored on the non-local intellience and when we need to remember something we instantly receive that thought which is downloaded to our brain from where it's stored.  So I can remember what I had for breakfast yesterday, or I can remember something that happened in another lifetime eons ago, both memories are stored the same place and can be accessed the same way.  It's just that we are more used to accessing the recent ones, and it takes practice to learn to recognize the more distant ones.  But we all have this ability, this psychic ability.

In the past, when people thought they were hearing a god speak to them, they were simply receiving information from the non-local intelligence.  Because they didn't know where this information was coming from, they assumed that some omnipresent, omnipotenet being must be chanelling this into their brains. So in much of the Bible, where someone says that god spoke to them, their brains were simply accessing this information matrix.  And many of the miraculous things which convinced people that there was a god, were events created on the quantum level by their own minds, or the minds of some other person or group of people. 

Tragically, this misunderstanding of our own powers and abilities was nurtured down through the centuries by organized religions which used the misunderstanding to control individuals and nations.  And it fuels some of the most bitter, heated disputes today which cause wars between nations.

When I think how many people have been burned at the stake or tortured because of this misunderstanding, and how many people have twisted their lives around to please some god that does not exist, when it was their own power they were worshiping and their own abilities which are inherent within themselves, it makes me very sad.  However, there is a purpose to it all.  This is all a great experiment.  We were placed here to act out this cosmic drama so that lessons could be learned about human nature, power, emotions, and the essence of life.  All this is valuable information that is being stored on the matrix, and monitored by the civilization which placed us where in the beginning. The question that is being pondered is, can we really learn from our mistakes and change?  Can we learn our spiritual lessons and benefit from them?  Can we evolve spiritually? 

It is happening.  Things are changing, people are changing, but it's taking a long time.  Gradually people are coming to realize who they are, and how to remove the obstacles to health, happiness, peace, prosperity and enlightenment.
