beautiful? The color is so vibrant, the texture is so alive, and
they are full of healthy nutrients which can increase your wellness and
enhance your energy circulation. In general, the more colorful
the food, the more vital nutrients it contains.
There are some tips for choosing healthy foods: ![]() 1. Grow your own food. 2. Shop the outer aisles of your grocery store. These contain fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy. Foods in their most natural form. When you buy from the inner aisles, you are buying dried, processed, preserved or genetically-modified foods. Well, I can't really even call them "food"...since they have no live enzymes. 3. The biggest and most important thing you can do for your health is avoid sugar and refined carbohydrates. Most people think that avoiding fat is the most important thing to do, but sugar is much more detrimental to your health. Chronic high carbohydrate intake depletes your body of B-Vitamins, which increases your blood homocysteine levels, which causes heart disease, diabetes, cancer, arthritis, you name it. High homocysteine levels are linked to just about every major disease. Also, because almost everything these days is sweetened with high fructose corn syrup, you should know that most of this corn syrup comes from genetically-modified corn, which has dangerous health implications, discussed elsewhere on this website. Avoid ANYTHING that says high fructose corn syrup on the label. Take a B-Vitamin Supplement to lower homocysteine. 4. Having said that high carb levels are more dangerous than fats, I must say that natural fats are OK, it's TRANS FAT that is dangerous. This is a manmade fat. Saturated fat and cholesterol are NOT your enemy, it's transfat, combined with refined sugars, which cause heart disease. Eliminate both transfats and sugars (which includes white flour, it turns to sugar in your digestive system) and you will go a long way to improving your health. 5. Eat foods in as close to raw state as possible. Buy fresh or frozen, avoid canned, dried, or preserved. The live enzymes in the foods are necessary for good health. A good rule of thumb is, eat 80% raw, 20% cooked. 6.
Eat organic
foods. Pesticides are extremely dangerous, and by
eating organic you avoid the risk of eating genetically modified

the Department of Agriculture, our food supply is almost completely
devoid of the Glucose Tolerance Factor, a niacin-found chromium
necessary to regulate blood sugar. This is one reason for the

more carbs you eat, the more you deplete the B-6, B-12 and Folic Acid
