What Are The Obstacles?

What exactly prevents people from having a healthy body and mind?  There are obstacles within the person themselves, obstacles stemming from their lifestyle, obstacles placed there by the medical establishment and medical professionals, and obstacles placed there by society.  Let's look at each of these categories of obstacles.

The Medical Establishment - The current allopathic, mainstream medical establishment has a particular viewpoint about health and healing which is erroneous. Rather than helping the body to function more efficiently so that it can heal itself, our present healthcare system is based upon treating and managing symptoms. If you have pain, take a painkiller. If you have a tumor, cut it out. If you have an infection, kill all bacteria in the system with a drug. If you have a blockage in the heart, bypass it.

That's the whole philosophy of our healthcare system in a nutshell:   bypass the problem. Deal with the symtoms, which are causing the immediate distress. People don't care whether their heart is really healthy as long as their blood pressure is kept low.  Take a drug and keep the blood pressure down, but don't fix what's CAUSING the blood pressure to be high.  Supressing symptoms is very dangerous because it means the disease goes merrily on.

Our healthcare system also does not give the person credit for being able to heal themselves.  The mind-body connection is only beginning to even be acknowleged as authentic.

Doctors also see themselves as the guardians of health and urge people not to do anything without consulting a doctor.  People are not encouraged to use their own inner knowledge and intuition in their own healing.

What's more, all drugs are poisonous to the body, that's why they have side effects.  All drugs put more stress on the body rather than alleviating the stress that is causing the disease.  Surgery can set your health back years because it takes a long time for the body to recover from being violated like that.  Surgery is a violation of the body.  The anesthesia used for surgery can have many dangerous side effects, some temporary, and some permanent.

One cannot rely upon our current government-supported healthcare system to make one healthy.  Medicine is big business; the needs and interests of drug companies, insurance companies, and hospitals come before the needs of individual people. Insurance companies dictate the treatments they will pay for, thereby taking away the freedom of the individual to decide what is best for himself.

Society - Society tends to want to rely on someone else to do for them what they should be doing for themselves.  Rather than being taught to take responsibility for our own life and health, we are taught that we need to go to someone else and search outside of ourselves for the answers.  Rather than realizing that what makes a person sick comes from that person and can only be fixed by that person, we want to pass the responsibility for our health off onto doctors, the government, anybody but ourselves. In all fairness, we have been taught this from our youth.  We are taught to go to the doctor for every little thing. We have been taught that "professionals" know more than we do.  In actuality, all information available to doctors is available to you and me if we choose to avail ourselves of it.  We don't need to go to someone else to be told what to do.  But most people DON'T WANT the responsibility for their own health.  They want simple answers, and to be told exactly what they should do, rather than searching for their own answers.  We are taught that something outside of ourselves can make us well.  It can't.

Many of the obstacles to our health are placed in our way by society.  Pesticide on our food, chemicals in our water, dangerous dyes in our clothing, too much stress in our jobs, contact with too many electromagnetic fields, and on and on.  But we can alleviate these situations in our own lives.

Society has also constructed myths about what is the "best" way to live.  The traditional, mainstream way of thinking, emphasizes allowing oneself to be led by authority figures, and trusting that what they teach you is best for you.  The problem with this is, what is "best" is only an opinion.

Lifestyle - Our lifestyle choices impact our health to a huge degree.  Of course, this website is dedicated to Unhindered Living, and part of that involves the freedom to make one's own choices.  I would not dream of interfering with that freedom.  However, the choices you make CAN and DO hinder you in many ways. The choice of what food and drink enters your body, the choice of whether to put cancer causing chemicals in your body, the choice to get enough sleep, to minimize stress, the choice to get sunshine and exercise, all effect your health.  So in some ways, your lifestyle choices are your biggest hindrance.

Obstacles within the Individual - within the human mind and body there are already systems in place designed to heal you.  But you must remove the obstacles to this healing.  One of the biggest obstacles is the belief that healing must come from outside you.  But in reality, healing can only come from WITHIN the individual.  Your mind can heal your body.  You have only to believe that it is possible.  Your disbelief can actually make your condition worse.  Thousands of experiments have proven that the mind can lower blood pressure, lower blood sugar, heal infections, and much more.   Your biggest obstacle is the beliefs you have been programmed with as a child.  You have been programmed not to trust and value your own thoughts and feelings. You have not been taught about the incredible power of your own mind.  You have not been taught the most important thing, which is that all disease is caused by two things:  body fluids that are too acidic due to unhealthy lifestyle choices, and energy imbalances in the body due to how the mind perceives and deals with emotional issues.

So, to heal oneself, one must

A.   Increase the body's PH to an alkaline level
B.   Correct energy imbalances in the body and living environment

All pain and dysfunction of the body and mind are due 99% to these causes.

These rest of this website is dedicated to helping you deal with these issues.
