  Pistachio Nuts - Health Benefits







1 ounce of pistacios is about 49 kernels.  Pistachios help to increase HDL and decrease LDL cholesterol. Eating about an ounce per day increases lutein, alpha caroten, beta carotene, and Vitamin E.  Some sources suggest eating two to three ounces per day.  The substances in pistachios help boost metaolism, build up bones, strengthen muslces and tissues, improve vision, and purify the blood. Ground pstachios, mixed with milk to form a paste, make a good facial pack.  It can help give the skin a healthy glow.
